On Paper Deets
“Originally from” questions are often tricky since I grew up a military brat. Kind of like my career path, and we’ll get to that, later. Though I have Texas and New Mexico roots, I was actually born and raised for most of my life in Northern California, right around Placerville. You may even know the private high school I went to, it what Lady Bird was based off. I went to the Naval Academy thereafter, majoring in quantitative economics and then spending 5 years in the Marines as a Chief of Staff. What happened after that was one crazy journey through finance/fitness that led me to where I wanted to be and am today: working as an enterprise sales rep in the financial technology space and building this site and community. I also freelance as a weekly columnist for ClassPass. Check back every week for my picks on everything from classes to fitness fashion!
Off The Record (or on Instagram)
To give you a better visual, my personality can best be described as a mix of Cara Delevigne and Zooey Deschanel. You’re also likely to hear a few well-placed cuss words every now and then. While I do control my vernacular IRL, I personally believe that without passion and freedom of expression, it’s hard to get some of the really important stuff across. You’ll find it in my writing here for that reason. Why should we stage everything we say? Sometimes, the truth is really powerful when we keep it real.
What you see is what you get.
Lover of dress up. Eloquent sass mouth. Nerd at heart.
Has lost 2 AirPods, and counting, because let’s be serious. It’s not if, but when.
Music drives my life: from Dad’s old vinyl, performing in musical theatre, making mixtapes, to being a classical soloist.
Die-hard San Francisco sports fan. The NY Rangers are cool tho.
Designer shoe/sneaker connoisseur.
Tarantino films and true crime shows are kind of an obsession. Will quote Lebowski and Zoolander forever. I also love me some RHONY, BH, and Dallas.
Edgy fashion, skincare, and nail art junkie.
I believe in the power of hard work and mentorship, not handouts. Sarcasm is my gift. If that’s you, you’ve come to the right place.
